Silver is the palest colourway Woof Wear make in the Twisted range: a bright metallic shimmer grip twisted through with crystals, finished with a branded cap. It photographs beautifully and it shows a dirty glove faster than any of the darker options.

This is a dressage whip, not a riding whip — the shaft is long, the flick is short, and the whole thing is built for a rider whose hands stay where they are. Woof Wear's stated lengths for the range are 100cm, 110cm and 120cm.

How to Use

• Carry it in the inside hand, running down across your thigh so the flick sits just behind your leg.
• Ask with the leg, then confirm with a single light touch of the flick behind the leg. Release and reward as soon as the horse answers.
• Change hands over the withers at each change of rein rather than reaching across the neck.
• Woof Wear's care instruction is wipe clean only. Wipe the shaft with a damp cloth and dry it; keep water out of the crystal grip.
• Hang it up or lay it flat. Standing it on the flick sets a permanent bend in the tip.
