Rosewood Soft Protection Coarse Comb for Dogs & Cats
The coarsest of Rosewood’s three Soft Protection combs — fine is 07500, medium 07501, coarse 07502. Wide tooth spacing lets it pass through a thick or long coat without dragging, which is exactly what you want from the first comb of a session.
Rosewood give the whole comb range the same job description: removing knots and tangles, with an ergonomic hand grip so the tool is held correctly rather than pinched. Used as a first pass, it finds the tangles; a finer comb then does the tidying.
Performance & Benefits
- Widest tooth spacing in the Soft Protection comb range.
- Passes through thick, long and double coats without dragging the coat with it.
- Finds knots and tangles early, before a brush drives them tighter.
- Ergonomic hand grip, moulded into the handle for a secure hold.
- Rosewood build the Soft Protection range to work for professional groomers as well as owners.
Suitable For
- Dogs and cats with thick, long or double coats.
- The first comb through after brushing, before anything finer.
- Checking a coat for tangles between full grooms.
- Owners who comb rather than brush because their dog objects to a slicker.
- Not the comb for a short or fine coat — the Soft Protection Fine Comb (07500) or Medium Comb (07501) suit that better.
How to Use
- Work in small sections, starting at the ends of the hair and moving up towards the skin.
- Hold the hair above a tangle so the comb pulls against your hand, not the dog’s skin.
- Move to a finer comb once the coarse teeth run through cleanly.
- Clear hair from the teeth as you go.
- Wash in warm soapy water and dry it before it goes back in the box.
Specification
- Rosewood product code 07502.
- Coarse tooth spacing. One of three Soft Protection combs: fine 07500, medium 07501, coarse 07502.
- Ergonomic hand grip moulded into the handle.
- Rosewood publish no overall length, tooth count or material for this comb, so none is stated here.
