Omega Equine Spearmint – Horse Digestive Supplement 1kg

Omega Equine Spearmint – 1kg
One ingredient, and that is the whole proposition: Omega list the composition of this supplement as 100% spearmint. There is no carrier, no molasses and no filler, which is why a small quantity smells so strongly and why it works on a horse that has stopped eating its feed for no reason anyone can identify.
Omega set the rate at 20–30g a day for a horse and 10–20g for a pony, so the 1kg tub runs for roughly 33 to 50 days on a horse and 50 to 100 days on a pony. It is a palatability aid as much as a digestive one — mixed in, it will often carry a less appealing supplement into the bucket alongside it.
Performance & Benefits
- Composition declared as 100% spearmint — no carrier, molasses or filler.
- Stimulates the appetite of a horse that has gone off its feed.
- Supports healthy digestion.
- Strong aroma and taste, which is what makes it useful for disguising other supplements.
- 1kg pack, 33 to 50 days for a horse at Omega's stated rate.
Suitable For
- Fussy eaters and horses off their feed.
- Improving the palatability of a bucket containing a less appealing supplement.
- Horses and ponies of all ages.
- Not a vitamin and mineral supplement — a horse on forage alone still needs a balancer such as Baileys No.14 Lo-Cal Balancer alongside it.
Feeding
- Horses: 20–30g a day. Ponies: 10–20g a day.
- At those rates the 1kg pack lasts a horse roughly 33 to 50 days, and a pony 50 to 100 days.
- Mix into the feed; there is no soaking or preparation.
- Clean, fresh water at all times.
Composition & Analysis
- Composition: spearmint, declared by Omega as 100%.
- 1kg pack. Omega list no other pack size for the equine spearmint.
