Omega Equine Flax Oil – 5 Litre
Five litres of cold-pressed flax oil is between two and six months of daily feeding for one horse, and the size most people settle on once they have decided oil is staying in the ration. Omega press it from dried flax seed without heat, which is what preserves the omega-3 that distinguishes flax from a cheaper vegetable oil.
At Omega's horse rate of 30ml to 90ml a day this container covers roughly 56 to 166 days; on a pony at 20ml to 60ml it stretches to between 83 and 250 days. Kept cool and closed between feeds, it will comfortably see out that span.
Performance & Benefits
- Cold pressed, so the oil is not heat-damaged during extraction.
- Declared 99.90% crude fats and oils — effectively pure oil.
- Supplies omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids.
- Omega link it to cellular health, coat conditioning, joint mobility and circulation.
- Five litres, so a single horse can be fed for months without reordering.
- Better value per millilitre than the one litre bottle.
Suitable For
- Yards feeding oil to several horses daily.
- Long-term daily conditioning on one horse.
- Showing yards running oil through the season for coat quality.
- Anyone already using flax oil who wants to stop reordering monthly.
- For a pony on a low rate, or a first trial, the Omega Equine Flax Oil 1 Litre will not sit open as long.
Feeding
- Horses: 30ml to 90ml daily.
- Ponies: 20ml to 60ml daily.
- At those rates this 5 litre container lasts roughly 56 to 166 days for one horse, or 83 to 250 days for a pony.
- Introduce gradually over a week or two — oil added too quickly can loosen droppings.
- Pour over the feed and mix through. Close the cap firmly between feeds.
- Omega also supply flax oil in 1 litre and 25 litre.

- Composition: cold pressed flax (linseed) oil.
- Analytical constituents: crude oils and fats 99.90%, crude protein 0.05%, crude fibre 0.05%.
