NAF Off DEET Power Performance Spray – 750ml
DEET Power Performance is the strongest repellent NAF make, built around DEET — the compound developed by US soldiers in 1946 and still the benchmark. It confuses a flying insect's receptors so the horse cannot be located, and NAF's independent trials put it at over 70% protection for six hours before it begins to wear off.
NAF say it holds up in humid conditions, which is exactly where lighter repellents fail first. Two things are worth knowing before you buy: this is a synthetic repellent rather than a plant-based one, and NAF specifically warn against substituting a human DEET product, because the concentrations sold for people are too high for a horse.

How to Use
- Shake well before use.
- Spray over the coat and down the legs from a short distance, against the lie of the hair.
- Apply around the face with a sponge or cloth — never spray towards the head.
- Reapply after roughly six hours, and after rain or washing.

- DEET can soften some plastics and varnishes; keep it off tack, rugs and painted surfaces.
