KM Elite Padded Event Bat for Horse Riding, Black

KM Elite Padded Event Bat – Black, 60cm
A 60cm jump bat with a padded, non-marking end, made by KM Elite to the current BS and BSJA standards. The padded head is the working part of it: it spreads the contact over a broad, soft surface so the cue carries without the sting and without marking the coat, which is what the standards were written to achieve.
The grip is moulded to be held securely in a gloved hand and the 60cm length keeps the bat short enough to carry over a fence and to swap hands between elements without catching on the saddle. Black is the plain, competition-safe finish.
Performance & Benefits
- Fully compliant with the current BS and BSJA standards for padded bats.
- Padded, non-marking end that spreads contact rather than concentrating it.
- Easy-to-hold grip, sized to stay put in a gloved hand.
- 60cm — short enough to carry over a fence and to change hands quickly.
- Plain black, so it draws no attention in the ring.
Suitable For
- Showjumping and eventing under British Showjumping and British Eventing rules.
- Schooling over fences at home, where a padded end is kinder in practice.
- General riding where a short bat is easier to carry than a schooling whip.
- Riders who want a bat that will pass a tack check without question.
- Not a schooling whip — at 60cm it cannot reach behind the leg from the saddle. For flatwork you need a long schooling whip; for a thinner handle in the same jumping length, KM Elite make the Cush Grip Jump Bat.
How to Use
- Carry it in the hand, thumb over the top of the grip, with the padded end resting against the shoulder.
- Use it behind or on the shoulder as a back-up to the leg, never as a substitute for it.
- Change hands over the neck between fences rather than dropping and re-taking it.
- Wipe the padded head clean and store it hanging straight rather than leaning bent in a corner.
Specification
- Length 60cm. Colour black.
- Padded, non-marking end with a moulded grip.
- Compliant with the current BS and BSJA padded bat standards.
- SKU 1002133. Barcode 5060171233985.
- KM Elite publish no shaft material, core, weight or balance point for this bat, so none is stated here.
