- Generally, fix it firmly facing north to east, 1.5m or more above ground.
- Leave a clear flight path to the entrance and keep it away from feeders.

- Clean out the old nest each autumn and scald the inside with boiling water.

Care & Caution
- It is an offence under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 to disturb an active nest. Leave the box alone from March to August.
