The mid blue version of Henry Bell's Beach Hut Nest Box: the same painted seaside-hut styling, in a deeper shade that shows up well against a pale wall or a silver birch. Inside, it is built as a nest box for the tit family, with a 28mm entrance hole and a protector plate fitted around it.
That combination is what makes it useful rather than just decorative. A 28mm hole admits blue, great and coal tits but not house sparrows, and the plate stops woodpeckers and squirrels enlarging the hole to get at eggs and chicks. Henry Bell state their nest boxes comply with expert recommendations.

How to Use
- Choose a quiet spot and fix it securely, facing between north and east.
- Mount it 1.5m or more up, clear of branches a cat could climb.
- Site it away from feeding stations so nesting birds are not disturbed by visitors.
- Put it up in autumn or winter so birds can investigate it early.
- After the season, remove the old nest and scald the box with boiling water.

Care & Caution
- It is an offence under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 to disturb an active nest. Leave the box alone from March to August.
- Only open and clean the box between September and January, once you are sure it is empty.
