Buddycare Baby Fresh Dog Shampoo – 500ml
Baby Fresh is the plainest shampoo in the Buddycare line and the one to reach for when a dog simply needs washing rather than treating. Buddycare build it on the same mild surfactant system used in baby products — cocamidopropyl betaine with olefin sulfonate — so it lathers properly on a muddy coat without the sharp stripping feel of a household detergent.
The scent is baby powder rather than fruit, which suits owners who find the sweeter shampoos overpowering in a small bathroom. Aloe vera leaf juice and pro-vitamin B5 sit near the end of the ingredient list, and the bottle is pH balanced for canine skin, which is less acidic than our own.
Performance & Benefits
- Mild baby-product surfactant base — cocamidopropyl betaine, sodium C14-16 olefin sulfonate and disodium laureth sulfosuccinate.
- Soft baby powder fragrance, noticeably less sweet than the fruit scents in the range.
- Aloe barbadensis leaf juice and panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) in the formula.
- Free from SLS, SLES, sulphates and parabens; vegan and not tested on animals.
- pH balanced for dog skin, so it can be used as often as a coat needs it.
- 500ml bottle; Buddycare also list 1L and 5L for kennels and grooming rooms.
Suitable For
- Dogs of all breeds and coat types needing a routine wash.
- Puppies from eight weeks old.
- Owners who dislike heavily perfumed grooming products.
- Dogs whose skin reacts to medicated or strongly fragranced shampoos.
- Not for a dog that cannot be bathed at all — the Buddycare Waterless Dog Shampoo in Baby Fresh does the same job dry.
How to Use
- Wet the coat right through with warm water before you start.
- Work the shampoo into a lather from the neck backwards, keeping it away from the eyes.
- Rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear, then dry.
- If any gets in the eyes, rinse them with water.
- Buddycare quote a 20:1 dilution ratio for salon use from the larger bottles.
- Keep out of reach of children.
