Size S covers a chest girth from 27cm to 49cm, which is a wide span for a small harness — a Jack Russell sits near the bottom of it, a small spaniel or a French bulldog nearer the top. It is worth measuring rather than guessing, because the same dog can land in this size or the XS depending on how deep its chest is.

Reversible means exactly that: the daisy print and the polka dot print are two faces of the same harness and you choose which one shows. There is one harness in the pack, not two, and it is made throughout from 100% recycled fabrics.

How to Use

• Measure round the deepest part of the chest, behind the front legs, before choosing between S and XS.
• Turn the harness so the pattern you want is outermost, then fit and adjust to a two-finger gap under the straps.
• Test it in the garden first — a harness set too loose can be reversed out of as well as reversed.
• Clip the lead to the harness ring, not the collar, on a dog that pulls.
• Rinse off mud and air dry fully before the next walk.

Care & Caution

• Check the fit each time it goes on. A harness that has worked loose is the commonest way a small dog gets free.
• Inspect the buckles, rings and stitching regularly, and stop using the harness if any of them is failing.
• Remove it indoors if your dog chews fabric; swallowed webbing can cause a blockage.
