A complete mix for guinea pigs enriched with vitamin C, which is the single most important thing in any guinea pig feed. Guinea pigs cannot synthesise their own vitamin C — almost uniquely among mammals — and a deficiency causes scurvy, so a fortified feed alongside fresh vegetables is not optional.

Barley, maize, oats, peas and beans form the base, with real carrot pieces and mint for variety and palatability. At 12% fibre it is designed to complement a hay-rich diet rather than replace it, and it is suitable for long-term everyday feeding.

Care & Caution

• Vitamin C degrades over time once a bag is opened. Buy a size your pigs will finish within about three months, and store it sealed, cool and dark.
• Unlimited hay is essential for dental and gut health. This mix supplements hay, it does not replace it.
