Agrifence HPX Ring Insulators (H4816) – Pack of 100

Agrifence HPX Ring Insulators – Pack of 100

A ring insulator is the cheapest part of an electric fence and the one that decides whether it works. The HPX is Agrifence's screwed-in version for rope and wire, with a reinforced ring and rounded edges so the conductor is not sawn through at the point where it passes, and an Easyscrew feature that lets it be driven in quickly rather than fought into the timber.

What separates it from a plain ring is the metalwork. Agrifence galvanise the shank by thermo diffusion, which they rate at ten times better resistance to corrosion than conventional plating, and they back the HPX range with a five-year guarantee. The 100-piece bucket is enough to fit out a substantial run of post-and-rail.

Performance & Benefits

• Takes rope and wire up to 8mm, and tape up to 20mm wide.
• Reinforced ring and rounded edges, so the conductor is protected where it passes through.
• HPX galvanisation by thermo diffusion — Agrifence rate it at ten times the corrosion resistance.
• Easyscrew feature for quick installation into timber.
• Supplied in a 100-piece bucket, with a free Speediso drill bit included at this pack size.
• Five-year guarantee from Agrifence.

Suitable For

• Wooden post-and-rail and stake fences being electrified.
• Rope and polywire lines up to 8mm.
• Tape up to 20mm wide.
• Larger jobs where buying singly would be slow and expensive.
• Not the insulator for 40mm tape — Agrifence's HPX Tape Insulator or their Claw Insulator for 40mm Tape covers that width.

How to Use

• Drill a pilot hole with the supplied Speediso bit, then drive the insulator home.
• Set all the insulators on a run at the same height before threading the conductor.
• Pass the rope or wire through the ring rather than wrapping it around the shank.
• Leave the conductor free to move through the ring so it can be tensioned later.
• Switch the energiser off before fitting insulators to a line that is already live.
