Eight 85g pouches in four recipes, two of each: Free Run Chicken at 80% fresh chicken, and three pairings at 54% fresh chicken with 26% of a second meat — salmon, duck or turkey. Every pouch in the box is chicken-led, so the box is a tour of the poultry range rather than a tour of the whole range.

The pouches differ from the Canagan cans in what is added rather than what is in them. Each one carries cranberry at 1%, green lipped mussel, aloe vera and rosemary, none of which appear in the 75g cans, and the moisture runs at 80% against the cans' 77%.

Feeding

• Canagan's adult pouch guide by bodyweight: 3–5kg one and a half to two and a half pouches a day; 5–7kg two and a half to three and a half; over 7kg three and a half and above.
• On those figures eight pouches is three to five days' feeding for one cat, not a week's.
• Canagan advise adjusting by 10% either way if your cat is carrying too much or too little condition.
• Serve at room temperature and keep fresh water alongside.
• Refrigerate an opened pouch and use it within a day.
