Canagan Tuna with Chicken Wet Cat Food – 75g

This is the one can in the range that runs both ways round: tuna leads at 58% of whole tuna meat, with chicken breast added at 5%. Every other pairing in the range is either chicken-led with fish on top or tuna-led with more fish, so this is the recipe for a cat that wants both and will not commit to either.

The broth is tuna broth at 32%, not chicken, which means the chicken content really is only the 5%. Useful to know if you are watching poultry closely rather than excluding it altogether.

Feeding

• Canagan publish one figure for their cat cans: two to three cans a day for any adult cat.
• Canagan publish no separate kitten figure for the cans — their kitten guides cover the dry food and the 85g pouches — so feed a kitten to condition and growth.
• Canagan advise adjusting by 10% either way if your cat is carrying too much or too little condition.
• Serve at room temperature — cold from the fridge dulls the smell, and cats feed on smell.
• Cover and refrigerate an opened can and use it within a day.
