The Hedgehog is the most aggressively textured shape Whimzees make: the whole back is spines, so wherever the dog bites, something is pushing into the tooth surface and along the gum line. Whimzees describe the knobbly form as working the gums as well as scraping the crown.

Whimzees list the Hedgehog in Large only, for dogs of 18–27kg, at 173 kcal a chew. There is no Small or Medium Hedgehog, so a lighter dog needs a different shape rather than a smaller Hedgehog.

Care & Caution

• Whimzees state these are not suitable for dogs under nine months old, or for any dog under 2.3kg.
• Whimzees warn that swallowing any item without thoroughly chewing it may be harmful or even fatal — stay in the room and take the last short piece away.
• Feed one correctly sized chew a day only, and always leave fresh water down.
