These are small, soft training treats built on English wholemeal flour with a chicken fraction that includes chicken liver at 4%. Liver is what gives them the smell, and the smell is why a dog will work for them when there is a rabbit in the hedge.

At 18% moisture they stay pliable, so they can be broken down small and handed over quickly without a dog stopping to chew. The 90g pouch is pocket-sized and resealable, which matters more than it sounds when you are half a mile from the truck.

Feeding

• Give while training or between meals.
• Treats should not exceed 10% of the dog's daily food allowance — reduce the main meal to match.
• Suitable from eight weeks of age.
• Break larger pieces down for small dogs and puppies.
• Reseal the pouch after use to keep the treats soft.
• Fresh drinking water at all times.
