The chew itself is the same X-shaped, chewy-textured stick Pedigree developed with the Waltham Petcare Science Institute, carrying sodium tripolyphosphate at 2.55% to slow tartar forming at the gum line. One a day is the dose; the clinical claim of up to 80% less tartar rests on that.

Care & Caution

• Adult dogs only — not for puppies.
• One stick a day, counted into the daily food allowance. Feeding two does not double the benefit.
• Supervise chewing and remove the last small piece from a dog that bolts its food.
• Dentastix slow tartar; they do not treat gum disease. Bad breath, bleeding gums or a wobbly tooth need veterinary attention.
