NAF Veteran Supplement – 3kg

A broad supplement for the older horse: vitamins, trace elements and amino acids, with live probiotic yeast to help an ageing gut get more out of the feed, and herbs — Siberian ginseng and ginkgo leaf — aimed at the sharpness and vitality that tend to go first. Chicory inulin is included as a prebiotic to work alongside the yeast.

It is fed by bodyweight rather than at one flat rate, from 30g for a small pony up to 75g for a horse over 600kg, so a 3kg tub lasts anywhere from about 40 to 100 days depending on the animal. NAF have it audited under the BETA NOPS scheme as suitable for FEI competition.

Feeding

• Horses over 600kg: 75g daily, two and a half 50ml scoops.
• Horses 400–600kg: 60g daily, two scoops.
• Ponies 300–400kg: 45g daily. Ponies under 300kg: 30g daily.
• One 50ml scoop holds approximately 30g.
• 3kg lasts roughly 50 days at the 60g rate.
