Horslyx Pro Digest Balancer – 5kg Stable Lick

Pro Digest is the gut formulation in the Horslyx Balancer range, and 5kg is the single-horse tub — about twenty days at the expected intake, which makes it the size that fits a stable, a travel bay or a short spell of box rest without going stale in a corner of the yard.

What separates it from Original is what sits under the vitamin and mineral package: slippery elm bark and seaweed meal, a prebiotic yeast extract, and Actisaf live yeast declared at 8 x 10¹⁰ cfu per kg, aimed at the hindgut rather than the joints or the airways. Magnesium is lifted to 0.9%, the highest in the range, and a spiced apple flavouring is included to bring fussy feeders to it.

Feeding

• Horslyx give an expected intake of 250g a day for a 500kg horse, 200g for a 300kg pony and 300g for a 700kg horse.
• A 5kg tub is about twenty days for one 500kg horse at that rate.
• Introduce it slowly and monitor the intake rate; Horslyx note that consumption usually falls once a horse has got used to having a lick available.

Care & Caution
