Dogsee Natural Yak Cheese Chew Bar – Medium

The medium bar is the size Dogsee put against medium and large breeds, and it is the same churpi cheese as the rest of the range: yak and cow milk boiled, strained, then smoke and sun dried until it will not give under a thumbnail. Milk, a dash of lime, a pinch of salt — that is the whole recipe.

A bigger bar means a dog with a strong jaw cannot simply crack it and be done. Dogsee put an average chew at twenty minutes, and a larger dog working steadily at a medium bar is the case that estimate is built around. Protein comes in at a minimum of 59.2%, which is unusually high for a chew of any kind.

Feeding

• One bar per day, or two if your dog’s diet allows for it.
• A treat alongside a complete food, not a replacement for a meal.
• Microwave the final stub for 30–40 seconds until it puffs, then let it cool.
• Three years sealed, two years once the pack is open.

Care & Caution

• A hard chew. Dogs that crunch rather than gnaw can fracture a tooth on one, so watch how yours takes to it before leaving them to it.
• Take the stub away when it gets small enough to swallow whole. Dogsee suggest microwaving the end piece for 30–40 seconds instead, which puffs it into a soft, safe morsel.
• Keep fresh water available while your dog is chewing.
• Lactose is under 1g per 100g, but Dogsee still advise against these for lactose-intolerant dogs.
