Anco Camel Collagen Braid – Medium

Collagen is the fibrous protein that holds skin and tendon together, and a collagen braid is that tissue cut into strips and plaited. The plait is what makes it work as a chew: the dog has to pull the strands apart rather than simply crushing the piece, so a medium braid occupies a dog for far longer than a flat strip of the same weight.

Anco's version is camel rather than beef, and it is a single ingredient — 100% camel collagen, nothing added. At 73% protein and 2% fat it is one of the leanest chews in the whole Anco range, which is why it is the one to reach for when a dog needs occupying but is on a fat-restricted diet.

Care & Caution

• A braid unpicks into separate strands as it is worked on, and a strand is easy to swallow whole. Supervise the whole session.
