Side cutters for clean, accurate cuts through wire, cable and plastic. These 150mm diagonal cutting pliers from XTrade have finely machined, angled blades and are made from hardened and tempered chrome vanadium (CR-V) steel for strength and a long working life.
The 6in size fits comfortably in the hand and is small enough to work in tight spaces, while the ergonomic non-slip soft-grip handles help reduce hand fatigue on longer jobs. The XTrade pack states a cutting capacity of up to 1.6mm.

How to Use
- Place the wire or cable deep in the jaws, close to the pivot, where the cutting force is greatest.
- Hold the work steady and squeeze the handles firmly in one smooth action.
- Keep within the 1.6mm cutting capacity; use bolt cutters for thicker material.
- Wipe the jaws clean after use and put a drop of light oil on the pivot now and then.

Care & Caution
- These pliers are not insulated. Never use them on or near live electrical circuits; switch off and isolate the supply first.
- Wear safety glasses when cutting wire, as short offcuts can fly.
- Do not exceed the stated cutting capacity or cut hardened wire, as this can damage the cutting edges.
- Store in a dry place and wipe the jaws with a lightly oiled cloth now and then to prevent rust.
