Equest Pramox is the combination version of Zoetis's Equest wormer, pairing moxidectin with praziquantel so that a single oral dose covers tapeworm as well as the roundworm burden that plain Equest handles. That combination is why it is so often the autumn or winter dose in a planned worming year.
Like standard Equest it is given as a measured paste from a graduated syringe, set to the horse's bodyweight. Because it is a combination product it should be used deliberately, at the point in the programme where tapeworm cover is actually needed, rather than as a routine default.

How to Use
- Read the manufacturer's datasheet and packaging in full before use
- Establish the horse's bodyweight accurately using a weighbridge or weigh tape
- Set the syringe stop to the correct bodyweight graduation
- With the mouth clear of feed, insert the nozzle at the corner of the mouth and deposit the paste on the back of the tongue
- Hold the head up briefly so the full dose is swallowed

Care & Caution
- Take advice from a vet or a suitably qualified person before worming, and follow the datasheet dosing instructions exactly
- Do not use in foals below the age stated by the manufacturer
- Do not use a combination wormer routinely where tapeworm cover is not needed
- Never under-dose - it is ineffective and drives resistance
- Wash hands after use and avoid skin and eye contact with the paste
- Dispose of the used syringe responsibly; moxidectin is harmful to dung beetles and aquatic life
- Store in the original packaging out of reach of children and animals
