Rosewood Soft Protection Porcupine Brush for Dogs – Large
Two bristle lengths on one wide head. The long, stiff bristles push through to the undercoat and reduce the tangles and mats that form there; the short, soft ones sweep the freed hair off the top. Rosewood specify the brush for double, thick and untidy coats.
This is the large, code 07035, against 07034 for the medium. The wider head is the reason to pick it — on a retriever, a shepherd or anything with a full double coat, brush area is what decides whether the job takes fifteen minutes or forty.
Performance & Benefits
- Wide head covers a big dog in far fewer strokes.
- Long stiff bristles reduce tangles and mats in the undercoat.
- Short soft bristles lift the loosened hair off the surface.
- Rosewood specify it for double, thick and untidy coats.
- Ergonomic hand grip, which tells over a full grooming session.
Suitable For
- Large dogs with medium to long coats.
- Double, thick and untidy coats — retrievers, shepherds and similar.
- Routine brushing through a heavy seasonal moult.
- Owners grooming a big coat at home.
- More brush than a small or fine-coated dog needs — the Rosewood Soft Protection Porcupine Brush Medium (07034) is the better fit there.
How to Use
- Brush with the lie of the coat in overlapping sections.
- Let the long bristles find the undercoat; pressing the head into the skin does not help.
- Pull the loose hair off the bristles as it collects.
- Follow up with a comb to find anything left behind.
- Wash the head occasionally in warm soapy water and dry it fully.
Specification
- Rosewood product code 07035. Large.
- Mixed-length bristle head: long stiff bristles and short soft bristles.
- Ergonomic moulded hand grip.
- Also made as code 07034, Medium.
- Rosewood publish no dimensions, bristle length or material breakdown for this brush, so none is stated here.
