Rhinegold Elite Velcro Over-Reach Boot - Black, Medium (M)
Over-reach boots, also known as bell boots, sit around the pastern and cover the heel and bulbs of the front hoof. They guard against over-reach injuries, where a hind hoof strikes into the back of a front foot during work, turning or landing from a fence - one of the more common and frustrating knocks a horse can pick up.
This boot comes from Rhinegold's Elite range and fastens with a hook-and-loop (Velcro) closure, so it can be put on and taken off quickly without threading the boot over the hoof. Supplied in black, size M (medium).

How to Use
- Fit to the front legs, sitting the boot around the pastern with the opening turned to the outside of the leg
- Fasten the Velcro strap firmly enough that the boot will not spin, but without pinching the pastern
- Check the boot sits below the coronet band and does not press on it
- Remove after work, check the skin underneath, and let the boot dry fully before the next use

Care & Caution
- Brush off mud and grit after use; a stiff boot rubs
- Wipe clean and air dry away from direct heat
- Close the Velcro onto itself before washing so it does not pick up hair and bedding
- Inspect the strap and fastening regularly and replace the boot once the Velcro no longer holds securely
- Do not leave boots on for long periods, and never fit over wet or dirty legs
