Snowflake Large Pet Shavings – 3.5kg Dust Extracted Small Animal Bedding
£10.99
Snowflake Large Pet Shavings, 3.5kg, for Rabbits, Guinea Pigs and Small Pets
Snowflake Large Pet Shavings are dust-extracted softwood shavings for small animal bedding, compressed into a 3.5kg pack that one person can carry easily. Shavings remain the default bedding for hutches and cages because they are absorbent, let a rabbit or guinea pig dig and arrange its bed, and can be spot-cleaned daily.
Dust extraction matters for a small animal living with its nose a few centimetres from its bedding. The pack expands considerably once opened, so it goes further than it looks, and the shavings are made from FSC-approved wood and can be composted once soiled.
Performance & Benefits
- Softwood shavings, dust extracted before packing
- Absorbent, helping keep the hutch floor drier between cleans
- Helps control odours in the hutch or cage
- Compressed pack expands when opened
- FSC-approved wood; biodegradable and compostable once soiled
Suitable For
- Rabbits and guinea pigs in hutches, runs and indoor cages
- Hamsters, gerbils, mice and rats
- Ferrets
- Use as a floor covering under a separate hay nesting area
How to Use
- Open the pack and loosen the shavings by hand; they expand as they break up
- Spread 3 to 5cm over a clean, dry hutch or cage floor
- Remove wet patches and droppings daily and top up
- Strip and replace the whole bed weekly, or more often in a small cage
- Always provide hay separately for eating and nesting
