Smart Garden G50 Anti-Weed Fabric – 1m x 15m
G50 is the lighter of Smart Garden's two woven membranes at 50 grams per square metre, supplied as a 1m by 15m roll covering 15 square metres and weighing well under a kilo packed. That lightness is the point: it is easy to carry, easy to cut and easy to lay single-handed over a border you are mulching this weekend.
The woven plastic is UV treated and lets water and feed through while blocking light from weed seed underneath. Smart Garden list it as product code 7015003, barcode 5050642030526, at a packed weight of 0.885kg.

How to Use
- Dig out perennial weed roots first; the fabric stops seedlings, not couch or bindweed already in the ground.
- Unroll along the area and cut with scissors — no special tools needed.
- Lap adjoining pieces by 10cm or more at the joins.
- Peg the edges, then top with bark, woodchip or soil to hide and protect the fabric.
- Cut a cross where you want to plant, fold back the flaps, plant, and tuck the flaps down again.
