The Chester is one of the longest-running beds in the Scruffs range, and the construction is the reason why. A rich chenille fabric upholsters the outer, while the sleeping area is lined with a super-soft short pile plush that gives a genuinely snug surface to settle into. The whole bed is built in one piece rather than as a cover over a loose cushion, which means the sides hold their shape properly and the bed survives repeated washing without going out of form.

Raised, cushioned side walls give dogs something to rest their head against and block draughts at floor level — the reason box beds suit curlers so much better than a flat mattress. In graphite grey, it sits quietly against most interiors.

Care & Caution

• The whole bed is machine washable at 30°C, though a larger bed may need a larger drum.
• Do not bleach or tumble dry.
