A border fork is the narrower partner to the digging fork - the tool for loosening soil, lifting clumps and working compost in around established planting where there is not room to swing a full-size fork.
This is the Elements border fork from Spear & Jackson, the natural companion to the matching border spade in the same range.

How to Use
- Push the tines in vertically with your foot on the shoulder, then lever back
- Work in from the outside of a clump when lifting plants
- Shake soil from roots rather than pulling against the fork
- Clean soil off the tines and dry before storing
