A soil scoop has a deep, curved blade that holds a load of compost rather than letting it slide off, which makes potting up far quicker than using a flat trowel.
This is the Elements soil scoop from Spear & Jackson, sized for bench work at the potting shed or greenhouse.

How to Use
- Draw the scoop through the compost bag or bin to fill the blade
- Fill pots and trays, then firm gently rather than compacting hard
- Knock out any compost left in the blade after use
- Wipe clean and store dry
