Rosewood Soft Protection Slicker Brush – Small
The small head in Rosewood’s slicker range, code 07659, with 07660 and 07661 above it. Narrow is the whole advantage here: it places between the ears, down a foreleg and around a face without the edge of the head catching skin, which is where most home grooming goes wrong.
The pins are the same fine angled wire as the larger sizes, and Rosewood set the range the same task — removing mats, tangles and loose hair, and reducing moulting with regular use. On a toy breed or a cat, the small is the only size that makes sense.
Performance & Benefits
- Narrow head places accurately on legs, ears and around the face.
- Fine angled pins lift mats, tangles and loose hair from the coat.
- Regular use reduces the amount of shed coat left around the house.
- Light in the hand, which helps on a small animal that will not stand still for long.
- Ergonomic moulded hand grip, as across the Soft Protection range.
Suitable For
- Toy and small breeds, and cats with long coats.
- Detail work on the legs, ears and tail of a bigger dog.
- Puppies being taught to stand for grooming.
- De-matting medium and long coats on a small animal.
- Too small to be practical on a large double-coated dog — the Rosewood Soft Protection Slicker Brush Large (07661) covers that ground.
How to Use
- Brush in the direction the coat lies, in short overlapping strokes.
- Keep the pressure light; the pins reach the undercoat on their own.
- Clear the pins as they fill with hair.
- Check each section afterwards with a comb.
- Wash the head in warm soapy water occasionally and dry it fully.
Specification
- Rosewood product code 07659. Small.
- Angled fine wire pin head with ergonomic moulded hand grip.
- Range sizes: 07659, 07660 and 07661.
- Rosewood publish no head dimensions, pin count or pin gauge, so none is stated here.
