Rosewood Soft Protection Porcupine Brush for Dogs – Medium
A porcupine brush carries two bristle lengths in one head. The long, stiff bristles reach through to the undercoat and reduce tangles and mats there; the shorter, softer ones sweep the loosened hair off the surface. Rosewood specify it for double, thick and untidy coats.
This is the medium, code 07034, with the large listed as 07035. Medium suits a spaniel, a collie or a small to mid-sized double-coated breed, where the large head is simply more brush than the dog needs.
Performance & Benefits
- Two bristle lengths in one head — long and stiff, short and soft.
- Hard bristles reduce tangles and mats in the undercoat.
- Soft bristles lift the loosened hair off the surface of the coat.
- Rosewood specify it for double, thick and untidy coats.
- Ergonomic hand grip for comfortable use over a long session.
Suitable For
- Dogs with medium to long coats.
- Double, thick and untidy coats.
- Spaniels, collies and similarly sized double-coated breeds.
- Routine brushing through a moult.
- Too small a head for a large or giant double-coated dog — the Rosewood Soft Protection Porcupine Brush Large (07035) covers more ground.
How to Use
- Brush in the direction the coat lies, in overlapping sections.
- Let the long bristles reach the undercoat; do not press the head into the skin.
- Clear the loose hair from the bristles as it builds up.
- Follow with a comb to check nothing has been missed.
- Wash the head occasionally in warm soapy water and dry it fully.
Specification
- Rosewood product code 07034. Medium.
- Mixed-length bristle head: long stiff bristles and short soft bristles.
- Ergonomic moulded hand grip.
- Also made as code 07035, Large.
- Dimensions of 2.3 x 10.5 x 15cm have been carried on this page in the past; Rosewood publish no dimensions for the brush, so no measurement is stated here.
