Omega Equine Soya Oil – Horse Conditioning Supplement

Omega Equine Soya Oil
Soya oil is the workhorse conditioning oil: 99.90% oil, pressed in the UK, and fed at rates high enough to make a real difference to a horse's calorie intake. Omega allow up to 300ml a day for a horse and 150ml for a pony — three times what most people feed of flax oil.
Those higher rates are what makes it a conditioner rather than a coat supplement. Omega link it to healthy skin, a glossy coat and slow-release energy for stamina, and it is a straightforward way to add calories without adding starch.
Performance & Benefits
- 100% pure soya oil, pressed in the UK, with nothing added.
- Declared 99.90% crude fats and oils.
- Rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids and in linoleic acid.
- Fed at up to 300ml a day for a horse, so it can contribute serious calories.
- Omega link it to slow-release energy and improved stamina as well as coat condition.
- A calorie-dense way to support weight gain without cereals or starch.
Suitable For
- Poor doers and horses needing to put on condition.
- Horses needing energy from oil rather than from starch.
- Showing and competition yards after coat and skin quality.
- Horses in sustained work where stamina matters more than sharpness.
- If it is coat shine rather than calories you are after, Omega Equine Flax Oil is fed at a third of the rate and carries more omega-3.
Feeding
- Horses: up to 300ml daily.
- Ponies: up to 150ml daily.
- At the full horse rate a 5 litre container lasts about 17 days, and about 33 days at 150ml a day; a 25 litre lasts roughly 83 days at 300ml.
- Build up to the full rate gradually over two to three weeks. Oil introduced too quickly loosens droppings.
- Pour over the feed and mix through.
- Omega supply Soya Oil in 5 litre and 25 litre. This listing does not state a size in its title — check the variant before ordering.
