The Flash Mesh lead is from Nobby’s Starlight series: nylon webbing with reflective stripes woven into it, and LEDs running the length of the lead so it is lit rather than merely reflective. Nobby put its visibility at up to 400 metres.

It charges over USB and runs for up to four hours on a charge, with three flashing frequencies to pick between. This is the M–L size at 120cm long and 20mm wide, in neon yellow — Nobby’s article 80757-24. It is splash-proof rather than waterproof.

How to Use

• Charge fully over USB before the first walk.
• Press the switch to cycle through the three flashing frequencies and off.

• Recharge after roughly four hours of lit use.

• The lead contains a rechargeable battery. Do not let a dog chew it, do not cut it open, and stop using it if the casing is damaged.
• Splash-proof, not waterproof. Do not submerge it, machine wash it or use it for swimming.
• Charge it from a standard USB supply and never leave it charging unattended overnight.
• Lit does not mean safe. Use it alongside normal road sense rather than instead of it.
