Agrifence Megatape 40mm x 200m (White)

Agrifence Megatape White – 40mm x 200m

At 40mm this is the broadest tape Agrifence build in the Megatape specification, and it is the one to choose when a long boundary has to be both highly visible and properly live at the far end. Reinforced mesh and edges take the strain that a wide tape puts on its fixings, and the 0.25mm copper-infused wires carry the pulse further than stainless alone.

Wide white tape is the traditional look of a horse boundary for a reason: it is unmistakable at distance and stays so in poor light. Agrifence describe Megatape as ideal for longer fence lines and large permanent paddocks, as well as for temporary and semi-permanent work.

Performance & Benefits

• 40mm white webbing, the most visible tape Agrifence make in this specification.
• Reinforced mesh and edges to cope with the load a wide tape generates.
• 0.25mm conductive wires, copper-infused for conductivity over distance.
• 200m roll.
• Agrifence rate it for longer fence lines and large permanent paddocks.
• Suits horses that need to see a boundary from the middle of a big field.

Suitable For

• Large paddocks and long boundary runs.
• Permanent and semi-permanent horse fencing.
• Studs and liveries where the fence is part of the yard's appearance.
• Fence lines long enough that voltage at the far end is a concern.
• A poor choice on a very exposed hill — a 40mm tape catches wind, and the Agrifence Megatape 20mm carries the same specification in a narrower web.

How to Use

• Use insulators rated for 40mm tape; narrower ones will chafe the edges.
• Join rolls with a 40mm tape clamp to keep the circuit intact.
• Tension evenly along the run and re-check after the first gales.
• Isolate the energiser before fitting, joining or repairing.
• Check voltage at the end of the line once everything is connected.

Specification

• 40mm wide, 200m roll, white.
• Reinforced mesh and edges with 0.25mm copper-infused conductive wires.
• Agrifence product code H4760. Barcode 5052150001357.
• Megatape is also made in 12mm and 20mm widths, in green, and in 500m rolls.
• Agrifence publish no resistance, breaking strain or conductivity multiple for Megatape. The twenty-times-more-conductive figure carried on some retail listings is not theirs and is not repeated here.
