KONG Squiggles – Medium (Stretchy Squeaky Plush Toy)

KONG Squiggles – Medium, Assorted Characters
A Squiggle is a long concertina of coiled plush with a head at one end and a KONG-branded ball at the other, and a squeaker at each end. Pull it and it stretches; let go and it springs back. That elastic recoil is the whole idea — it turns a plush toy into something that fights back a little during tug.
This is the Medium, supplied in assorted characters. KONG have taken the Squiggles out of their current catalogue, so no weight band, dimension or fabric composition is claimed for it here; what is described below is what the toy is.
Performance & Benefits
- Coiled body stretches under tension and springs back.
- A squeaker at each end, so both ends of a tug reward the dog.
- Long shape suits shaking, dragging and carrying.
- Soft plush throughout, light enough for indoor play.
- Assorted characters, allocated at random.
Suitable For
- Medium dogs that like a stretchy toy to pull against.
- Interactive tug where the recoil does some of the work.
- Dogs that carry a toy about rather than settling down to chew it.
- Households happy to take whichever character arrives.
- Not a toy for a dedicated destroyer — a rubber chew such as the KONG Extreme in black is the right one there.
How to Use
- Hold the ball end, let the dog take the head, and pull steadily.
- Let it spring back rather than releasing it sharply.
- Sponge clean and hang to dry.
- Rotate it with other toys so the stretch stays a novelty.
Specification
- Size Medium.
- Coiled plush body with a squeaker at each end and a KONG-branded ball at the base.
- Characters assorted and randomly allocated.
- KONG UPC 035585000565.
- KONG no longer list the Squiggles and publish no size band, dimensions or composition for it, so none are stated here.
Care & Caution
- Two squeakers means two swallowable parts if the cover is torn.
- Retire the toy at the first hole rather than repairing it.
- Keep tug low and steady; the recoil makes a sharp release harder on teeth.
- Supervise play and put the toy away afterwards.
