KM Elite Poly Lead Rope – Navy Blue, 6ft

This 6ft poly rope is KM Elite's answer to cotton lead ropes that fray, soak and get chewed. The poly is rated by KM Elite at ten times the strength of an average cotton rope, and the extra-large brass snap is sized to be clipped one-handed.

How to Use

• Clip the brass snap to the ring under the jaw of the headcollar, with the spring facing away from the horse.
• Lead from the near side with the slack folded across your palm — never coiled around your hand.
• Tie with a quick-release knot to a loop of breakable baler twine, never straight to a solid ring.
• Wipe with warm water and hang to dry; the poly sheds most mud without washing.

Care & Caution

• Poly this strong does not give way under load. Never tie a horse directly to a solid ring, post or trailer — always tie to a loop of breakable twine so something can part before the horse does.
• Never wrap the rope around your hand, wrist or waist. A horse that pulls back can burn or trap a hand in a coiled rope in an instant.
• Retire the rope if the core shows through the outer braid, or if the snap spring weakens or sticks.
