How to Use

• Position the pot before filling it – planted terracotta of this size is very heavy
• Soak the new pot first, crock the drainage hole, then fill with peat-free compost
• Stand on pot feet to allow free drainage
• Water thoroughly and regularly through the growing season
• Top-dress in spring rather than repotting each year

Care & Caution

• Frozen water inside the clay can crack terracotta – check the frost rating on the pack and shelter the pot if in doubt
• Never leave the pot standing in water over winter
• Raise on pot feet to keep the base clear of wet paving
• Clean with warm water and a stiff brush only
• Do not attempt to move a planted 44cm terracotta pot alone – use a trolley and a second person
