Henry Wag’s waterproof coat is built for dogs that are out in real weather rather than walked round a block. The outer uses what Henry Wag call Hydro-comfort Technology, which makes the fabric both waterproof and breathable, and behind it sits a fleece liner and a warm fibre filling.

The large size has a 55cm back length, which is 21.5 inches. There is a chest panel for weather coming at the dog head-on, an adjustable collar and leg straps, a lead and harness access slot with a protective flap over it, and reflective stripe and stitching for road work in the dark.

How to Use

• Measure along the spine from the base of the collar to the base of the tail.
• Fasten the collar first, then the belly, then set the leg straps last.
• Thread the lead or harness clip through the access slot and close the flap.
• Hang the coat to dry after a wet walk rather than leaving it bundled.

Care & Caution

• Adjustable leg straps and a fitted collar can rub if they are set too tight. Check under the straps and at the shoulders after the first few walks.
• A fibre-filled coat is warm. Take it off indoors, in the car and once a working dog has warmed up, or the dog will overheat.
• Do not leave it on an unsupervised dog in a crate or on a run — straps and slots catch.
• Dry the coat and the dog properly afterwards; a wet lining against the skin causes sores.
