At 107 × 71cm this is the second-largest Outdoor Crate Mat Gor Pets make, cut for the big crates that labradors, boxers and collies of a certain build actually stretch out in. The 5cm bonded fibre pad does not compress to nothing under a 30kg dog the way a thin fleece mat does.

The removable cover is water-resistant, which matters more at this size: an X-Large mat is usually the one living in an estate car or a utility room, taking wet dogs straight off a walk. The cover comes away for a 40°C wash and the pad stays dry.

How to Use

• Lay the mat flat in the crate, non-slip face down. It needs no straps or fixings.
• Between washes, wipe the cover down with a damp cloth — the water-resistant finish takes this well.
• Unzip and remove the cover before washing, and wash the cover on its own at 40°C.
• Do not machine wash the bonded fibre pad. Let the cover dry fully before refitting it.
• Measure the base of your crate before ordering; Gor Pets cut these mats to standard crate footprints.
