Wear on the articular cartilage is one of the commonest reasons a horse goes lame, and this is a high-strength glucosamine aimed squarely at it: 12,000mg of glucosamine hydrochloride in a 30g loading dose, which is among the strongest rates on the market. Hydrochloride rather than sulphate matters here — it carries more glucosamine per gram.

It is fortified rather than straight. MSM at 1,650mg supplies bio-available sulphur for collagen synthesis, sodium hyaluronate at 9mg addresses joint fluid rather than cartilage, and turmeric is included alongside. The base is dextrose, which makes it palatable enough to go into a feed without argument. BETA NOPS and UFAS accredited.

Suitable For

Feeding

• For a 500kg horse — first 10 days: 30g per day.
• Thereafter reduce to 15g per day to maintain the response.
• At the maintenance rate a 1kg tub gives around 66 days.
• Mix into the daily feed.
