Dr John Merlin is a complete dry food for ferrets, made by Gilbertson & Page. Ferrets are obligate carnivores, so the recipe is built around poultry meal (46% chicken) and chicken fat, giving a high protein and high fat food with fibre kept low at 2%.
Chicken liver, egg and fish meal add palatability, linseed is included as a source of oils, and yucca extract is added to help reduce the odour of droppings. The 10kg bag is the economical choice for owners of several ferrets.
