Danish Design Arctic Cat Cosy Bed – Medium

The Cat Cosy is a high-sided bed rather than a flat mat. Danish Design describe it as a retreat for cats that like a hideaway, and the walls are deep enough to cut out both the draught and the view of the room. It is made up in the Arctic fabrics — smooth faux suede outside, silky faux fur inside, in the muted greys that give the range its name.

The medium measures 45 x 45 x 22cm externally, with a laying space of roughly 38 x 38 x 14cm. Trade listings and several retailers describe this size as 50cm; Danish Design's own published measurement is 45cm, and that is the figure used here.

How to Use

• Stand it somewhere sheltered and against a wall; cats use an enclosed bed far more when their back is covered.
• Lift the mattress out and wash it separately from the bed itself.
• Danish Design recommend hand washing both parts, or a cool machine wash if the machine takes it.
• Dry somewhere warm — the polyester fibre holds no water and comes back quickly.
• Shake the Ecoflex filling back into shape once it is dry.
