The Hatchwells White Chalk Block is a round block of grooming chalk used to whiten the body, legs and head of dogs with white coats before a show.

It is rubbed into the white parts of a freshly washed coat and blown out again on the morning of the show, lifting dust and dirt and leaving the white looking bright. Groomers also use it to give extra grip when hand stripping a coat.

How to Use

• Wash and dry the dog thoroughly first
• Rub the block over the white areas of the coat, working it in against the lie of the hair
• On the morning of the show, blow the chalk out with a dryer or blower
• When stripping, rub a little chalk onto the coat or fingertips for grip
