Ceramic Round Cat Dish

Ancol Ceramic Round Cat Dish
A round, shallow ceramic dish made for cats that find a deep bowl uncomfortable. Cats feel food and water through their whiskers, and a narrow, steep-sided bowl presses on them at every mouthful; Ancol describe this dish as one for cats that experience sensory overload, which is the polite way of saying whisker fatigue.
The shallow profile means the cat can reach the food without pushing its face into the sides, and the ceramic body has enough weight to stay still on a hard floor. It is dishwasher safe and comes in a choice of two colours, sold under Ancol as product code 971400 in their Hungry Paws feeding range.
Performance & Benefits
- Shallow, wide profile so a cat can eat without its whiskers touching the sides.
- Ceramic construction, heavier and steadier than a plastic saucer.
- Glazed surface that does not scratch and hold food smells the way plastic does.
- Dishwasher safe.
- Offered in a choice of two colours.
Suitable For
- Cats that paw food out of a bowl, or walk away from a full dish.
- Cats showing whisker discomfort at mealtimes.
- Wet food, dry food or water.
- Kittens and older cats that find a deep bowl awkward.
- Not the right shape for a dog, which needs the depth — the Ancol Ceramic Bowl with Non-Slip Silicone Base suits dogs better.
How to Use
- Stand the dish on a level floor away from the litter tray.
- Fill it shallowly rather than to the brim so the whiskers stay clear of the rim.
- Wash food dishes after every use and water dishes daily, in warm water with a mild dish soap.
- Dishwasher safe if you would rather not wash it by hand.
Specification
- Round shallow ceramic cat dish.

- Ancol publish no diameter, depth, capacity or weight for this dish, so none is stated here. Figures quoted on some retail listings do not come from Ancol.
