Vanner & Prest Neatsfoot Compound is the traditional leather feed that generations of saddlers and grooms have used to bring new tack into service and to rescue leather that has dried out and gone hard. It penetrates rather than simply sitting on the surface, softening the fibres so that a stiff bridle or a board-like pair of stirrup leathers becomes supple and safe to use again.
The 500ml bottle is the practical size for a single horse or a small yard: enough to break in a new set of tack and keep on top of the leathers that take a soaking, without a large bottle standing half-used in the tack room for years.

How to Use
- Clean the leather first and let it dry - compound applied over dirt seals the dirt in
- Test on a hidden area, as neatsfoot products can darken some leathers
- Apply sparingly with a sponge or cloth, working it into the flesh side of the leather
- Allow it to soak in fully before the next light application rather than laying it on thickly
- Buff off any surplus and finish with a conditioning soap or balsam if a shine is wanted

Care & Caution
- Always patch test first - neatsfoot compound will darken many leathers
- Do not over-apply; excess oil weakens stitching over time and leaves leather greasy
- Not for use on suede, nubuck or synthetic tack
- Check stitching and billets on any old leather before putting it back into work, however supple it feels
- Keep the cap closed, store away from direct heat and keep out of reach of children

Delivery Attempts and Notifications
If you miss a delivery, please contact the carrier to arrange a re-delivery. After three unsuccessful delivery attempts, the parcel will be returned to us and a refund will be processed.
