Fresh turkey at 60% with nothing rendered in the bag. Turkey is the leanest of the common poultry meats and the one least likely to trouble a chicken-sensitive dog, and the added fat here is beef fat at 5% rather than chicken fat.

Calcium at 1.6% and phosphorus at 1.3% are the highest in the True Fresh dog range, and crude protein is 29% on 3,681 kcal/kg. A 1.5kg bag lasts a medium dog a fortnight, or a small one the best part of a month.

Feeding

• Carnilove's daily amounts: 5kg 100g, 10kg 170g, 15kg 230g, 20kg 280g, 25kg 335g, 30kg 380g.
• Larger dogs: 40kg 475g, 50kg 560g, 60kg 645g, 70kg 725g, 80kg 800g, 90kg 875g.
• One or two meals a day, and weigh the ration rather than scooping it.
• Introduce over seven to ten days, with fresh water always available.
