The red-meat tin in Carnilove's cat range. A 35% chicken meat base with chicken liver and hearts is lifted by 20% lamb — the largest single share of a non-poultry meat in any of the Carnilove cat foods we stock, and the reason this tin eats richer and darker than the three-bird version.

It carries the highest declared protein of the four wet cat products here at 10.8%, with 6.8% fat and 1,060 kcal/kg. Chicken is still the foundation, so read it as a chicken food with a substantial lamb component rather than as a lamb diet.

Feeding

• Serve at room temperature, with fresh water always available.
• 1kg cat: about half a 100g tin daily as a complete food.
• 3kg cat: roughly 2½ tins daily.
• 5kg cat: up to 4½ tins daily.
• Feed about half as much again where dry food covers part of the ration.
• Introduce over 5–7 days. Refrigerate an opened tin and use it promptly.
