Buddycare Calming & Deodorising Dog Shampoo – Lavender, 500ml
This is the bottle to use on a dog that has rolled in something. It works differently from the fragranced shampoos: Buddycare put Saccharomyces ferment into it, a yeast-derived deodoriser that breaks down the compounds behind the smell rather than simply covering them.
The lavender is there for the dog as much as the owner, and it makes this a sensible choice for a bath before a car journey or a clip. Buddycare also state that the formula is free of aluminium-based ingredients, which is worth knowing if you have avoided human antiperspirant chemistry for the same reason.
Performance & Benefits
- Saccharomyces ferment, a yeast-derived deodoriser that acts on odour compounds rather than masking them.
- Calming lavender fragrance, useful before travel, grooming or a vet visit.
- Aloe vera and pro-vitamin B5 for skin and coat condition.
- Free from SLS, SLES, sulphates, parabens and aluminium-based ingredients.
- pH balanced and suitable from eight weeks of age.
- 500ml, with 1L and 5L available from Buddycare.
Suitable For
- Dogs that pick up strong, persistent smells on walks.
- Nervous dogs that find bath time difficult.
- Puppies over eight weeks and adults of any breed.
- Use before travel, boarding or a grooming appointment.
- Not a parasite treatment — for fleas and ticks use the Buddycare Flea & Tick Dog Shampoo alongside proper veterinary control.
How to Use
- Wet the coat right through with warm water.
- Lather and leave on the worst-affected areas for a minute or two so the ferment can work.
- Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Avoid the eyes; rinse with water on contact.
- Buddycare's dilution ratio for the concentrate is 20:1.
- Keep out of reach of children.
Specification
- Buddycare name Saccharomyces ferment, aloe vera and pro-vitamin B5 as the working ingredients, with omega 3 and 6 oils and glycolipids also listed on the pack.
- Volume: 500ml. Fragrance: lavender.
- Free from SLS, SLES, sulphates, parabens and aluminium salts. Vegan and cruelty free.
