Beco Treat Bone Dog Toy – Natural Rubber Chew Bone with Treat Hole, Enrichment Toy, Green

Beco Treat Bone Natural Rubber Dog Toy – Green
A rubber bone hollowed out at both ends, so it works as a chew and as a food toy at the same time. Beco build it from thick springy natural rubber and aim it squarely at heavy chewers, which is a claim the thickness of the walls supports.
Fill both ends with nut butter or soft food, freeze it, and a dog that would empty a plain stuffed toy in three minutes has something to work at for considerably longer. Green is the darker of the two colours and the one that shows paste less between washes.
Performance & Benefits
- Hollow at both ends, so it takes a filling from either side
- Thick springy natural rubber, which Beco aim at heavy chewers
- Gentle on teeth compared with a hard nylon bone
- Freezes well once filled, which stretches a session considerably
- Bone shape gives a dog something to hold between the paws
Suitable For
- Heavy chewers who go through softer toys
- Crate training and settling a dog in a new room
- Slowing down a meal by packing part of it into the ends
- Dogs that need occupying rather than exercising
- Not a fetch toy — the Beco Super Stick is the natural rubber toy for throwing
How to Use
- Pack both hollow ends with nut butter, soft food or a paste
- Freeze it filled if you want it to last through a quiet afternoon
- Wash in warm soapy water and dry before refilling
- Take what goes in off the day's food rather than adding to it
- Put it away between sessions so the dog does not tire of it
Specification
- Material: 54% natural rubber, 11% synthetic rubber, colouring and additives — Beco's own figures
- Hollow at both ends for filling
- Colour: green. Beco also make it in pink
- Beco publish no length, diameter or weight for this toy
- Not a product for children
Care & Caution
- Size the toy to the dog — a bone that fits entirely in the mouth is the wrong one
- Supervise play and withdraw the toy the moment the rubber splits
- Retire it once a dog has chewed through either hollow end
- Speak to a vet immediately if any piece is swallowed
- Keep away from children
